Description:
Human PAK3 kinase (UniProt: O75914; NCBI: NM_001128166) belongs to a family of p21-activated kinases. These serine/threonine kinases serve as targets for the small GTP binding proteins Cdc42 and Rac and have been implicated in a wide range of biological activities. Overexpression of PAK3 has been detected in certain types of cancer. Mutations of PAK3 have been associated with learning disability and X-linked mental retardation.
PAK3KD is a recombinant wild type human PAK3 kinase domain (amino acids 246-544 of full-length human PAK3) expressed in E. coli and purified to near homogeneity.
Molecular Mass and Phosphorylation:
The calculated mass is 33,758. PAK3KD is phosphorylated on T421 and partially phosphorylated at additional sites with mass measured at 33,835 (1P), 33,915 (2P), 33,995 (3P).
